The Top Five Twitter Chats for Event Professionals

read time

A key challenge for event professionals (in addition to running successful events) is keeping up with what's happening in the industry: the latest news, trends, and developments in live events.

Twitter is an excellent tool because of its flexibility (such as the ability to create custom lists of specific groups of followers) and its fast pace. Most of the top event industry influencers are active there, as are the top events blogs and leading publications.

Another popular use of the platform is participating in Twitter chats—prescheduled, hosted, typically weekly, generally 30-minutes-or-so discussions in which a moderator will ask a series of questions for participants to answer, usually using a free tool like TweetChat.

It's a great way to have an engaging, education discussion about hot topics with a group of smart event professionals from all over the world, without leaving your desk (or airport terminal, or coffee shop, or wherever you happen to be).

Here are five of the best attended, most highly regarded Twitter chats for event pros.
