Our History

May 2000 -

Incorporated in San Francisco, CA. The G2 in our name is borrowed from the meaning of higher intelligence. Our purpose is to help customers be more intelligent.

June 2002 -

First customer implementation, Cisco at SUPERCOMM 2002: lead capture on 64 handheld computers in Cisco’s exhibit booth and partner pavilion, along with a digital brochure of Cisco’s activity at SUPERCOMM for attendees to download to their PalmOS handheld via a beaming station in the Cisco exhibit booth.

March 2003 -

Provided technology for Intel’s Centrino launch event: event website, registration, hotel room reservation management, mobile and wireless check-in, badging, lead capture and surveys.

June 2004 -

Acquired TegraMAX, spin-out software company from Lawson Software, Inc.

October 2004 -

Activated our first NFC / RFID system: badging, session scanning and lead retrieval system in partnership with Carlson Marketing Group for Citrix iForum.

January 2005 -

Activated our first automotive client, Nissan North America and lead capture on Tablet PCs.

May 2007 -

Launch of EventMAX, activated for Citrix.

June 2009 -

Introduced Partner Program.

October 2011 -

Launch of EventCENTRAL, activated for Cisco.

March 2012 -

Contracted by Intel to build a sustainable events system (web-based with a mobile application), working in collaboration with MeetGreen.

December 2013 -

EventMAX suite of solutions reaches 21 modules.

April 2014 -

Launch of Sustainable Events module on EventCENTRAL.

Mark Granovsky is the founder and CEO of G2Planet. Over his career, Mark has initiated and managed customer and partner relationships with some of the most prestigious companies in the world including, Intel, Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle, HP, Federal Express and auto manufacturers Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Subaru and Mitsubishi.

Mark founded G2Planet with the intention of delivering new, innovative and valuable technology solutions to large corporations to help them improve their customer relationships and communications. Mark previously was with NAVTEQ, the world’s largest digital map provider, where he was responsible for new business development. He also served at Fourth Shift, where he was responsible for strategic alliances, and served as VP Sales and Marketing for a start-up software company. Mark holds a Bachelors degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, and is a former NCAA All American athlete.




Karen brings over 25 years of experience in project management and client services. Throughout her career, she has been responsible for creating processes with an eye towards efficiency.  

Earlier at PeopleSoft, Karen was a core group member of the Select division responsible for developing implementation processes. Prior to coming to G2Planet, she was the Director of Service Operations for a San Francisco start-up, Evolv, where she built their Client Services department from the ground up. 

Now leading Client Services at G2Planet, Karen brings a sharp focus on best practices, standardized processes and exceptional customer service.  With a passion for solving problems and driving towards operational efficiency, Karen will take those gains to better support your business objectives during an implementation.  Karen is located in the G2Planet’s Bay Area office.




Darrell has over 30 years experience in the software industry. The last decade has been focused on providing software and hardware technology solutions for events, all of which includes experiences germane to his work at G2Planet: issuing credentials with stored values, access tracking and control, web-based ticketing and registration, backend server and data management/reporting, network configuration and setup, and related support personnel and services.

From 2000 to 2003 Darrell was founder and CEO of TegraMax, Inc., a company focused on providing software and hardware technology solutions for large scale corporate events, with customers including Intel, Sun Microsystems and IBM.

Darrell joined the company when TegraMax was acquired by G2Planet in 2003. Prior to TegraMax, he was the VP of Advanced Technology Operations at Lawson Software, an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and services provider. Darrell got his introduction into providing technology for events when he and his team created ConferenceMax, an internal software product which was first used at Lawson’s annual 5,000 attendee customer conference (CUE) in 1999, which included smart card badges with eAuction point stored value plus access control and tracking. Prior to Lawson, Darrell was with Unisys in various software engineering roles.




Chuck has deep experience in the software industry, with a broad range of skills from sales, marketing and training, to customer support and project management.

He started his career with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) vendor, Fourth Shift, in Bloomington, MN and spent 12 years there expanding his knowledge of software development, marketing to customers and hands-on interaction with customer teams during installation of their projects. He has been with G2Planet since 2002, managing projects for all of our customers including Intel, Cisco, Citrix, Lexus, and many others. Chuck’s hands-on approach ensures that no part of the project is neglected and he will ensure a constant line of communication throughout all of our implementation processes.
