Jim has contributed creative leadership throughout a career involving the business development, sales and implementation of information technology to address new opportunities. Prior to co-founding G2Planet and managing the company’s initial financial progress, Jim led Navigation Technologies Corporation in its pioneering use of precision street map data in mobile and internet based systems. These efforts helped launch many of the current road navigating services, such as MapQuest that continue to be in popular use today. Before that, Jim held a variety of sales and marketing management positions spanning 25 years with IBM in the United States and Asia. During this time his contributions ranged across the creation of a first of its kind Geographic Information System, early Database Management Systems, the Personal Computer roll out, and the deployment of state of the art systems for global merchandisers.
Jim holds a Bachelors Degree in Physics from St Cloud State University, a Masters Degree in Mathematics from the University of Illinois and received an Executive MBA from the University of San Francisco.
